I honestly find it very hard to believe that more people are not killed performing recoveries................education is the answer but seeing stuff like this it is coming along very slowly, and more people will die.

I remember an old outback show Malcome Douglas I think. He said when you get stuck Step 1. Light Fire Step 2. Put the Billy on Step 3. Have a cup of tea and a good think about how to get out. ..Step 4. Recover vehicle safely.
That particular video has been around for a couple of years, and people still do it!!
A no brainer.

My mates still use snatches on towballs and winch cables to snatch. They just don't give a shit. Safe to say I self recover.
