Hey folks
I am looking at getting some e-lockers for the patrols and I am just wondering if anyone knows where to get them from and what sort of money you have paid. I have some quotes but want to make sure I get the best deal.
Cheers.

I was talking to the Eaton rep at the Wandin 4x4 show last weekend and he said they were doing a show special for $1500 per locker (normally $1600) with some extra goodies, can't remember what they were.
He was telling me the benefits over air lockers and after talking to him there is no way I'd go with air lockers.
Hi mate,
Newby is your man, he will be about a little later and should be able to sort you out.
Hopefully you get them soon and tell us all about it.
Did you want me to ask around for a group buy?

Oposite Lock are the supplier

Yes it is. But thanks for the advice hopefully he will be around soon. I might try eaton direct if not opposite lock it is I can get a small discount through them so may be the way to go.
X 2 with that price Winnie was given, it's an Opposite lock product.
I'll see what price I can get for 4 if thats ok with all, just PM me.
I'm interested in a price as I WILL get one in the future but not any time soon.
Eaton are just the supplier, they are made by Harrop, as in Harrop superchargers.
As in R Harrop and his HARROP HOWLER drag car from the 70s went like all stink when it was going.
Winnie, they are an Eaton product, Harrop is their Australian importer.
Harrop also adapt them for some applications that the American Market does not have, eg. Nissan Patrol. The spline number on the Patrol is not in the US inventory.
Then the Retail / Fitting is handled by Opposite Lock.
I have a front one, found it to be really good, turn the switch and it works.
Had air lockers in the last car, but wouldnt go that way again, I like the simplicity of the E-Locker system.
I had no bother but know of a few who did.
Since I put the front one in I havent been stuck on a climb, but I am cautious what I tackle. Wont be putting a rear one in at the moment any way.
I had a local mechanic install it, they had a bit of trouble with the instructions I think. They were on the phone a lot.... cost me a bloody fortune. Was not happy at all, should have got OL to do it for a fixed price.
Eaton rep told me that harrop make them?
Is it a modified Mc Namarra locker or is that the Pro locker ???
Eaton make the actual e-locker and as Macca said Harrop modify them to suit patrols and land cruisers etc. I can get them cheaper than you have stated but that's supply only. If I can get a bundle of gear with it at a show then I will probably go down that path instead.
Was going down this path late last year, but with fitting the price was stupid {front}.
The concept of just pressing a button really appeals to me, as for locking they all lock
its the way they lock thats different. One air locker I had was slow to unlock, I take it these are similar
with just a slight back off required to unlock on the go..
Having twin lockers in last 4x4 {spoilt} driving became boring or much slower, there fore
started looking for more technical stuff to drive on.
So how many would be interested in these ?? I know i can get them for the other brand of 4wd
For a pricing exercise i'd be interested George?? i like the idea and it would be for the GUIV. If i did a locker in this car it would be the front only and the Elocker sounds like a great idea.
Ok i'll see what i can find out, just want to know what has every one been quoted so far ?? You can PM me if you like
I know BA and Mudski are saving up for a locker , which type I'm not sure
I'll probably go Pro-locker, ................but if the price is right?????
Ok i need the Eaton part number for the front and rear lockers, all i could find on the net was that they are 31 spline. So if anyone can get them for me so i can pass them onto my supplier that wiould be great! Cheers
I'm in if cheap anothe for front of GU
Just got off the phone with Harrop here in melbourne and because i need to make a trade account they wont give me the Eaton part number but THEY said RRP$1590 Trade$1500 but i need to verify my trade account. But like i said if someone can do the ground work to find the Eaton part numbers i will get you guys a better price !!
I'm in for a GQ front please George.
I'll see if I can find the part number.....
I had it written down a while ago.

I was quoted $2000 fitted for the front in my GU by OL in North Melbourne last year.
Confirm the 2 grand fitted price.
Got a quote from OL north Brisbane yesterday. Bit outta my price range unfortunately, so might have to convert to manual hubs and a lock-rite or similar.
I love the simplicity and functionality, but can't justify the coin on the wagon at the moment.
Yeah James at Nth Melb gave me a similar price fitted. Seeing about 6 want front lockers I'll get a PRO-LOCKER
price in the morning. Locker only price is around $1100 would think 6 would bring that down
It will be hard to get an eaton part number as they dont actually make the unit that is for patrols. Harrop buy them and modify them to suit, maybe this is why the price is a tad high. I have emailed eaton direct to see what info I can get from them. Keep up the hunt it will be interesting to see what we come up with.
