how can i tell if i have gas injection
roughly how many ks out of 90 l lpg tank should i get 4.5l 5speed gu with tb45e
400km's. Less if you are towing, heavily loaded or have a roof rack.
Tony
It will have a secondary set of injectors.
Photo is of a TB42e but you get the idea;

my gu 4.5l seems to be using alot of lpg what could cause this
What do you call a lot of gas? What accessories do you have? How hard do you drive?
Tony
yeh i spose that might do it would u have a close up picture of the intake manifold on a tb45e grateful if so dont seem to be able to find my exact engine in any of the manuals thanks
yes i see it would be obvious if my patrol is injected and allready has gas would it be hard to chagne the gas to injection or just expensive
I use 20L per 100 K's on Gas.On a trip this sometimes get down to 18L per 100 K's
Towing a Camper Van (Jayco Dove) it blows out to 22L per 100 K's
sent some pics under generall named tony mad dog
my cause of 26l/100km is terrible traffic - 1 hour crawl to work and 1 hour crawl back home! Still lpg is cheap!
The Patrol pictured had a basic LPG set up when I got it, I kept the gas tank and main gas line, but replaced the under bonnet components with an injection set up. You could still expect to pay about $3000 for the conversion to injection. As long as the vehicle has never been registered as dual fuel you can still claim the government rebate. I was a qualified automotive LPG installer at the time so it cost me nothing in labour.

Sorry guys, I merged a few threads together here and somehow managed to shuffle them in the process.
Tony
Moved your thread here so others can see it better.
All the gas company trucks run it so it must be a good thing
