Is that the Thornton or the Pedder?
The Pedder mate.
What a beautiful drive, I'd luv it except for getting stuck.
Thanks mate, i enjoyed that vid, what a great place, and nice work on the editing, kept it interesting to watch the whole way through, not normally my kind of music but i actally liked that as well :smiley_thumbs_up:
Great vid mate! Very interesting land shaft and of course the stack place to get more experience.
One time my friend also found the similar stack place in our climate zone. It was a alkali soil dry atop and under 1-2 cm of dry layer the 30-40 cm of real mud slippery like wet soap. A lot of fun we got there.
did I blink and miss the recovery?
Nice vid - smooth enough to make me think of flying!
Bloody hell that pulled him up pretty quick smart
He was well stuck and had a lot of suction to break and the winch was working pritty hard so I left the bonnet up. If something was to let go Id rather it the bonnet and not the screen so yeh I missed recording the recovery.
Once we broke suction and with the mesh ramps under all 4 wheels he was able to floor it and reverse out of there.I had to pack drift wood infront of my wheels as I was being pulled forward.
wow!looks great would love to see that part of the country one day!
Sad part is that most of that is now closed off, yep according to the "powers that be" ( and he has never even bee to the area ) the track is all torn up !!!.
This is why we had the big 4WD Rally down here.
