First time on the forum

Hi All
New to the forums but have been reading a few threads and can see that the responses are a good source of valuable info.
Previouse owner of a 2.7 turbo diesel euro Terrrano in a past life but when arrived in AUS decided to go with the 2.8 Patrol. No comparison...having said that trouble free for 3 years but just blown the head......
Not a cheap fix!!
Anyway that's me cheers doffer

Hey boots 300kplus so not to bad a run......annoyed at the response from mechanics offering to fix for 11grand must think I just fell off a lemon tree......

Off to get pressure test tomorrow for 100bucks told I would need a rebore new pistons and full rebuild.....methinks just gasket so far but getting head checked just in case as she did boil and spit out a fair bit of white smoke. Me just being lazy and not doing my own investigation to start with........was offered 500bucks by same guy to get rid of it to help me out.....nice eh

What state do you live in?
I am in Qld and know of a complete 2.8 motor for sale in Brisbane.
A guy at work transplanted a 4.2 into his GU.
The 2.8 is a goer but has a leaky rear main seal.
I can PM you his number if this info helps.
