Im not sure about the snorkels but my mrs has a winch from them and its bloody tops for what you pay for em. I have just spent 400 odd dollars through them in purchasing awnings and other gear i havent heard a bad thing about them yet.
$75 for a Snorkel for a GQ BRAND NEW!!!!!
Holy Crap! i should buy 10 and put them on Ebay and get $200 every day of the Week! Hell that is Sooooo Cheap!
Do it - No Brainer
X2 mate. you would be crazy not to get one.
I will be calling in to the store myself in the next week or so , same price for a gu snorkel . want to have a look at the quality of them before hand . have been scarred by an online purchase of the same thing , a snorkel . so once bitten twice shy with snorkels .
They look exactly the same as those other chinese cheap snorkels on ebay a while back. I think Tigerz thinks he will squeeze all the other brands out of the market selling cheap stuff real cheap.
too bad it doesn't fit for the 2.8 diesel :( means i have to look around elsewhere. mine had an original safari equipped, but has been removed before selling it to me. now i'm looking for a snorkel with nearly the equal mounting spots, but not as expensive.
how hard is it install these i have a gq with just the vertical cleaner due to having a turbo-glide setup how do you connect it to the cleaner?
i HAVE JUST ORDERED ONE
Make sure to let us know how it is mate
Tappa tappa
I would also love to know what its actually like, since the quote i got from ARB was 500$ fitted
Called in there today to have a look see . Fair to say they are putting all their time and effort into the online sales . Had a good look at the GU snorkels , very average build quality of the moulded snorkel body . looks like it had been seem sealed with a soldering iron . plastic + soldering iron = horrid . surface finish was patchy / blemishy . If ya had a comp truck or basher then these are the go for shore. JMO .
just wondering if anyone has received theres yet and fitted it just wondering what they are like and how hard they were to fit as i went and played in mud and got pre filter covered in crap
i ordered 4 awnings from them a week ago and was told there was to be a 4-6 week wait, was any delivery time said for the snorkels
I ordered a few items from them including awnings. I expect to see mine around end July!
Bugger
Yeah im still waiting for my awning and other gear as well
probably in a sweat shop getting made as we speak
Got my snorkel. 3 days. Quality is average, but I'm happy for the money. Inlet wall thickness is uneven, weld are obvious but functional, finish isn't perfect and there is no brand. Hope this helps.

So for the price would you recommend it and does it seal out water or leak
Are you asking me? Well, no, I wouldn't recommend it, unless you can afford it. If so, then, go for it. Or, for not much more, you could build a custom snorkel. For much, MUCH more you can get a name brand snorkel. Your truck, your choice.
If fitted properly there should be no leaks.
I fitted my snorkle today very happy with it
Tomorrow it was dark when I completed
A few months on are people still happy with the purchase? Given their current 20% off sale I'm considering one of these, and stumbled across this thread, so thought I'd get some thoughts down the track after a few months of people having them on their trucks.
Happy so far. Had it fitted by my mechanic ($100) during a large service.

I was happy with the one I installed on my mk.
Im about to order one for my GQ.
Anyone got any thoughts on these for a GQ 4.2 diesel? They're $99 at the moment. Hard to go past at the price, but is it really worth it?
Depends on what plastics they are made out of mate,i was reading a while ago now that some of these inferior brands use a plastic that is not UV stable and have a tendenancy to brake down and become weak..Was a few years ago when I bought mine, after doing the research and finding out about the differences I went and bought a safari...When you get it fitted make sure it sealed properly no matter which brand you get....
I got one on my 3ltr bought it for $89 - I compared the material with my mates Ironman and another with Safari
Ironman came close to with Tigerz11 and Safari isn't that far as well.
With the performance - I put it through some water crossing already - I live in MacArthur Area outskirts of Sydney
I will see in the summer if it will stand the heat - however I never heard or read any bad points about them
hope my input helps
for me its bung for the buck - just make sure when installing it you seal all connections
I have one on my TB42 GQ- the diesel should be the same.
The guide is pretty crapy.
Im happy with the snorkel though.
