Record numbers of Patrols in this trip.
Wow, just Wow. I would love to do something like that.
How do you navigate in such conditions. Like the last photo for example, you cant see the road or signs or anything....
short time of daylight now
Stay right there, I coming over!! Looks great, we dont get that type of driving over here. Lots of great looking vehicles as well, thanks for the pics. What I noticed is the absolute deflation of the tyres, again something learnt today and seen in practice.
On the RED GQ Y60 Patrol registration plate YE 710, where do you get a set of flares like that? Do you have a name of the supplier?
not much snow in this trip.
Mate there are no roads on this pics we are on top of a glacier.Total freedom,on the picture from my car you see tablet with gps and two garmin gps behind that.We had back and side lights on to see eachother.:smiley_thumbs_up:
VE 710 this is my car. There are 2 or 3 company's that makes flares. But the old ones like mine you buy used.
There was 6 Patrol's in this trip and mine was the only car with 2,8.One 4,2 Nissan one Duramax one Cummins and two Toyota 4L turbo
Another trip another glacier different cars.

The country looks fantastic, you are very lucky to have that to enjoy. Regards the flares I think I can gauge the width and they would be ample for my future needs, thanks for the help.
Wow! That is awesome. Thanks for the photos mate. What temperatures were you down to on the trip?

More stuff from the other side of the globe.
how do the suzuki sierras fare over there? they never really had the best heater over here in australia, and werent hugely powerful either only came with a 1.0L or 1.3L motor i think. that would struggle to turn those big tyres! thanks for sharing the snaps mate, it is totally another world, with some very impressive scenery.

Hi mates here is varieti of trucks in past years. All kind of swaps, different axel's,engines, suspension, turbo´s.I like this,no two cars are the same. You see different things from different parts of the country and you are always learning something new. The orange y60 is a monster with 4.2 lc 80 engine and big turbo, the blue y60 has 350 chevy, dark green y60 is cummins 5,9.I dont know the orange Jeep pickup but it is pretty extreme. And the scenery is often mind blowing.Hveravellir is a geothermal area in 650 m above sea level, you can take a bath there all year around. Please comment if you want to see more because i have a ton of pictures.
Yeh these pics are really cool to see. Keep them coming!
Yep keep them coming please .
Absolutely beautiful scenery. Especially the sun just on the horizon. Those vehicles are just awesome.
Send me a message for the next trip mate.

G´day mates,i went on a two day trip with my local 4x4 club.We slept two nights in a cabin and drove c.a 550km, weary little snow here now.My under dog 2,8 Patrol did good and I´m weary pleased with it.There was new truck in the group,y60 w/5,9 Cummins and auto.I have never seen anything like this before,:jawdrop::1087: it is insane.here are some snaps from the trip.
Great photos and some expensive looking upgrades there.
