Trollett

Hi all,
sorry it has taken so long but here is my 89 shorty (named trollett by my missus)

I brought it about 8 months ago, at that stage it was very sad but the driveline was good and it cost me less than 3 grand, she already had a 3 inch suspension lift (dobinsons springs and shocks) and 2 inch body lift which was only 12 months old. She is tb42 unfortunatly but that will do for now.
Over the next 6 months I have replaced all the bushes, wheel bearing and seals,breaks, clutch, wheels and tyres, welded up the crack in the front diff, removed the body lift (which I still have if anyone wants it), did a few rust repair's, and cleaned all the mud out of it (it was everywhere). I have also fitted out the back for camping, pulled out the back seat and put in a plywood floor with plastic containers and draws that bolt down to the floor as well as a 60 liter water tank and a duel battery system with a 120ah battery.
Thankfully I have managed to do most the work myself with a few scun knuckles so the whole build so far, including buying the car, engle fridge, and all my camping gear has cost me less than 10 grand (that doesn't include the beer I drank while doing it). Next on the to do list is beef up the rest of the suspension, Build a custom snorkle (thanks to AB's diy thread) and might have a go at making a bullbar.

Nice rig mate, so why did you decide 2 remove the body lift?

I had to mate to get a roadworthy unfortunatly, and I have no need to put it back in as the weekest point at this stage is the driver not the car lol

Thanks Trolatron, I'ts getting there but still a bit of work to be done before it's as neat as yours. It's just a fiberglass tank from BCF cost $59 from memory, Ive mounted it behind the drivers seat using some old seat belt and made some brackets, Ran some hose down to the back with a tap, no pressure so I think I will have to put a pump in their. cheers
