Fog Light recommendation

I have more than enough light for clear or wet nights driving, however am looking for a recommendation for Fog lights specifically. I have a GQ with ARB deluxe winch bar. I don't know if its better to seek a yellow light or look at a very low level throw of white light. My BMW has factory fog lights and they are a 'projector style' and mounted down in the spolier/skirt - they are great lights however too low for the application. Its low speed stuff as well, so less than say 40km/hr at a guess, fogging mountain driving - if we ever get released from isolation!

I would stick to a warm light...anything over 2800-3000k is practically a white out in fog and dust for us humans.
I hear the authorities stipulate Yellow or White for front and Red for the rear.

@Lights, do you have anything that fits the bill by any chance?

Haven't actually been in the market or looked around for any since I had my Hilux over 10 years ago...I had them on my roof rack but they were just cheap incandescent set up in a row of 4 yellow and 4 white...only good for 5 to 10 meters though.
I was relatively uneducated on off-road and even on road lighting at the time but the worked a treat. If anything they made me visable to others...I wouldn't say I am any more learned on the subject these days as I use a Baja knock off sold by Sunyee.com.
They are great but no good in the dust...too bright though they have a light which is connected to the low beam with a relay which lights up only a small row either side of the spotty.
Works for close contact stuff.

Also I would be noting the IP rating...if you are operating in fog they will warm up...if they are not sealed properly they will suck in moisture when they are turned off while cooling down.

There are plenty of Cree yellow 6 LED 12V lights out there obtainable on a budget.

If the application is 'low speed driving in fog' then you want the lights as low as possible.

The issue with fog is the reflected light from the droplets 'whiting out' the drivers vision
Fog doesn't usually go all the way to the ground, there is almost always a small layer of much clearer air about 12 to 18 inches or so above the ground.
The lower the light position the more penetration and less reflection in this boundary layer.
The most efficient penetration is white but that is also the worst colour for the human eye when reflected back which is why old school foggies were filtered well into yellow.
The illumination from a yellow source was not as efficient but much less annoying so gave the illusion of being better to the naked eye than white.

Sooo... ideally foggies should be as low as practical, beam as wide and flat as possible and colour should be warm and not ultra white so, as MB TD42 says mid 2's low 3's kelvin.
Makes them more vulnerable off road tho and most big 4Xs the "lowest practical mounting" is often more than 18 inches off the deck.

Fog isn't a big issue over here in WA but in NSW I used to use el cheapo 3 inch generic lights, low as possible and tape the lens with clear tape.
When I broke one I would just chuck it

Thanks guys, I have already picked up a set of the cheap 6 yellow led lights but they are pathetic - was of time even mounting them. I will take on board what has been said, was looking for a specific recommendation that someone has fitted perhaps. I think I could mount something on the lower wings of the ARB bar, probably 250-400mm off the ground and would be reasonably protected I guess. Seems the projector style are whats fitted from factory and even ARB, so maybe that's the answer.

There are yellow light bars available in different sizes on the net...Google yellow light bars

Decided on these. They are halogen and the wavelength should be better than the LEDS. Will see.
