300+ Sandhills
On the weekend we did Googs track just out side Ceduna SA.
Googs Track started when John (Goog) and his wife Jenny decided to bulldoze a track from Ceduna to Tarcoola in June 1973. Took 3 years on weekends with the family pitching in.
It's recognised as a miniature cross between the CSR and Simpson Desert.
The track has had rain so was compacted and not too hard going.
We had a great time sand driving and camping.
Left home on Thursday after work at 6pm. Stayed at a road side pull over 20km Ceduna side of Streaky Bay. Second time using the roof top tent.
Posting a few pics now more to follow.
Second night at Googs Lake.
Third night at Mount Fink.
Forth night on the side of the road in the Gawler Ranges.
Home at 6pm Monday night.
Round trip 1280 km.
Very happy with the tent and just did not want to come home!!
Did I mention I love camping.............hahahaha
