Can people give me some stats on the 3.0 engines, as to where they in a manual or automatic transmission Vehicle.
I'm doing as much homework as possible before I run out and buy one.
Cheers

stats we dont need no stats lol , go buy a clean unit of your choice
with a full service history and when you get it home NADS it,
Bloke in my court never did [NADS] and blew his o6 model at 130k
My 04 is going strong at 220k and I only fitted the NADS at 185k.
The least you want to do is fit gauges so you can drive by them eg
if it starts to get hot EGT wise back off, What model do you have in mind??
I was thinking of something between 2003-2006, although I like the change on the dash and console in the 2005 on.. When you do the NADS do you also take the inlet manifold off and clean out the black crap that would have built up from the EGR and the oil vapor, before doing the NADS and fitting a catch can?
You can I never did, but a catch can helps
heaps with keeping the MAF sensor cleaner
Definitely gauges at a minimum. I have a 2001 which just clocked 320,000km. I only put the gauges in at 230,000km. And as I always say, listen to the vehicle, if it is feeling like something is wrong, something is wrong.
To bad if your hard of hearing:D
There is no mention yet as to if a 3.0 with an manual transmission will blow up before a 3.0 with an auto...
My auto is still going strong being 04 and I know the Mudski's 01 manual is still going
Are you looking at really high KM models? Shouldn't a 2005 be just fine with 150, 200K?
