Hi all
When time permits I'm keen to give my car a repaint using the roll on method. If anyone hasn't heard of it I highly recommend you google it, but basicaly it's just thinned out polyurethane single stage paint rolled onto prepped body panels with a roller. It is by no means an easy process, with lots of sanding and work to do, but the cost savings and thought of having a car painted in durable paint is very appealing.
Thoughts?

i like the sounds of it, not sure on the finished result tho? i got a mate to respray my entire car last year with satin enamel. it looked great and has held up OK, but i would say it was the most durable paint.

After watching an episode of Mythbusters, where they painted a car in ute liner, I have thought it might be the go, for doing the lower parts of the panels and the sill. Lol

Yep, don't need to mask off areas to protect from overspray. Repairing damaged sections or paint chips would be very simple and could easily achieve a fresh look without having to repaint the entire panel. Equipment wise, it's cheap! When I get time I will do the patrol in sections.

looks good, there was a guy who re-painted his lux in hammetone over at 4WDA which came out surprisingly good when finished
Not sure if its same thing but Theres a product called plasti dip. Straight from pressure can spray on and can be peeled off. You tube search it
