Anzac Day fast approaching the cheats will be at it again!,,
There is a story on Ch 7 Today Tonight at 1830hrs 24 Apr regarding the Hines brothers and exposing fake veterans.
It's also sad to see real veterans adding medals that they aren't entitled to, to embellish there service.

Yes, it's a running joke in my circle of army mates, we try and out story tell about black ops we have been on, so secret the army didn't even know.......we try and out bullshit each other just like the wankers on fraudster website :)
There's no need to embellish ....... They must have some real issues. It's an insult to all who have served!
After my folks died my sister decided to keep everything of my parents, Including my fathers Medals
Am I able to get a second set struck so I can pass them on to my boys ???? Very frustrated this time of year
because of this issue,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Lest we forget
We had a copy of my Grandads WW1 medals made for a display I made of buttons, badges, helmet ornaments etc he bought back from Galipolli and France.
We also had some miniatures made for the kids to wear at School and Anzac services.
They were done by Christies in Sydney.
So yes you can get them but I dont think they put the recipients name on the side like the genuine ones.
Hey NP you aren't a Buddy by any chance are you

Was having a good old chat yesterday to a digger who fought at Tobruk and he was a funny bugger....... he said it was not the loud mouth talky ones you had to watch out for it was the small quiet guy... when the shit hit the fan you would get these guys going off a specially in hand to hand!!!
Buddies is a Facebook group for past and present members of the RAR, quite a few guys in there very passionate about medals.
I was in 98-11, mainly Brissie but also spent time in Darwin and Perth.
