How we rebuild 2 different engines in 3 days.
Post will be long with more than 30 photo.
Once I said to my relative (he is a long-distance driver) that my engine has been losing a power for the past 2 years. That’s what he answered: “you can come next weekend so we could fix and rebuild it together”.
First day.
We made 350 km through the mountain (Chinese border) with the temp +42C.

After that we completely disassemble the engine for 2.5 hours. In the motor bay we left an empty cylinder block and the crank shaft. So we could see necessary components for changing it like: cylinder head gasket, all injection nozzles (none worked properly), all main bearings on crank shaft, all connection rod bearings, pistons rings, camshaft front oil seal, 3 glow plugs. Bad news - we broke the outflow oil tube (from turbo to cylinder block). Good news - there is no any wearing on the surfaces of cylinders, on the crank shaft and on the camshaft also the head of cylinders isn’t “curve” and hasn’t any cracks.

Second day.
We ordered all the parts for delivery to our town. Also we ordered cylinder head gasket and piston rings for his (my relative) MMC Pajero, 4D56 engine. That was a long and dirty day for cleaning everything starting from the deposit of carbon on pistons and oil pan seal and ending the deposit of carbon on valves that we also disassemble from the cylinder head.
After we cleaned all the parts in my shorty we made bedding of valve seats and completely assemble head of cylinders. Then we had a few hours to disassemble 4D56 which we made for 2 hours and then the washing started again.

Third day.
The parts arrived and we began to assemble my shorty, it took a half day. Then we welded the broken tube. After that the engine was successfully started.
Than we began to assemble our 4D56. That took the whole day and in the evening we successfully started it too.

Fourth day.
No repair this day only injection moment debugging etc… after riding in our local bush and sands dunes.
Maybe it would be good after a few thousands of km to correct the moment of gear changes (I think that it began to delay the moment of gear changes).
