Gu is booked in for it major 80 thou service tomorrow so I dropped in to the mechanics last night to just run over a few things..
Glad I did or I woukd have had GL5 gearbox oil in it and 5w40.
He's going to get in some gl4 gearbox oil for me and use 15w40 in the engine.
Also went over a few things that I wanted sorted before our big trip next year.
Glad to have a mechanic who's willing to listen.
Nothing wrong with 5w-40 for the Crd.
I noticed my catch can filling up quicker running the 5w40 last service, then dropped it and put the 15w40 back in and it slowed considerably.Quote:

Interesting as the 5w40 is the same at operating temp as the 15w40 viscosity wise. The 5w is just a little thinner when cold.Quote:

The sounds of gulp, gulp, everytime I walk past the laundry. The yeast doing its thang to my next brew of IPA. Oh and the lovely aromas now coming from the fridge from the stash of hops pellets. Haha! Much to everyones disgust at home.
