Not necessarily today - over the last few weeks ive bought a set of 33" MT51 Kumhos , breather kit for diffs etc & HID inserts for the rallye 4000 driving lights. hardly been on here as work has been insane but we just finished yesterday for about 6 weeks so now ive got a bit of time ....
i'll have to have a look at the packaging mate , I've got 4 Illuminators on the truck , intense flooding of light in the immediate area but want more distance , lots of blokes have 'xray' brand HIDs on their trucks but are having ongoing dramas ,another mate swears by these HID inserts in the Rallye 4000s on all 3 of his trucks so I thought id try them in the lights on the Patrol & see how they go. I'm impressed so ill put those lights on the truck & 2 of the Illuminators on the Patrol . if you google 'HID inserts for rallye 4000 driving lights' they'll come up , they were $115 a pair.
got some oil filters, might even service the old girl before the snow trip.. i should also sort out some lights and stuff but thats looking like effort.
Brand new XTM 12000lb winch for less than half price.
Right place, right time....for once!!
Tried out the Makita 36V chainsaw today, pretty impressive little beast. I would put it in the category of 4-5" wood max, dicing up firewood after the bigger stuff has been dragged back to camp, very handy for track clearing up to the bar limitation x 2, which is 10" bar. Running 2 x 5ah batteries, so unsure of life limitations, will buy another pair as a back up. Fits into a very compact carry bag and light to use, really light.Attachment 72377Attachment 72378Attachment 72379
Bought another couple of batteries for the makita chainsaw.
Went shopping with Mrs PeeBee and bought another cushion.
After a lot of research bought a couple of flowmeters and a totaliser to resolve the fuel consumption on the beast, or at least quantify how much fuel it is gulping
Not directly Patrol related but I bought 2 bays of pallet racking type shelving for my shed , my god what a ashamable mess it's in . This week I'm going to drag EVERYTHING out on the back lawn & sort it all out . Yes I really am . No im not making this up . It's really going to happen . ( never mind me having a reassuring conversation with myself )
Did something similar recently, events unfolded somewhat as follows...
Shed had shit everywhere
Couldn't find 1/2 the things I knew I had 'somewhere'
Spat the chewey and went and bought two bays of shelves, some suitable sized totes and two work benches with double draws.
Emptied shed
Installed racks and benches
Sorted all the gear getting more and more excited over the 'treasures' I found
Put all the gear into appropriate totes/draws/shelves
Spent the next month tossing 90% of the shit around looking for what I wanted and forgotten where its new spot was
Shed now has shit everywhere again but at least I can find 1/2 of it
I can usually find what I want , usually .
Perhaps it's time to revisit the show us your shed thread , to see who has the cleanest tidy gayest shed .
A gay shed is a happy shed.

Those screw drivers are the best. I've been using these for 15 years and love them.
What's the baby oil for ?
Yeeaaahhh sure it is I believe you honest mistake none of my business .
Sorry it's the Clunk in me .
I'm concerned by the distance between you & reality mate haha if I could post pics on here & show you the state my sheds in you will understand there's no hope in hell of me doing anyone else's , it's a 6x9 shed & I can literally get about 3' in the door & that's it . What an abomination 😩
Hot dog rolls and found out they were Franks.
Going to have to have a clean up and throw away session soon to make it easier when I sell the joint , hoarding shit loads of shit and some good stuff I'm never going to need .
CV shafts for the GQ for instance, I have an auto so not much chance of smashing one .
Radiator from the GU , was replaced because of overheating issues but that wasn't the problem .
Electric side mirrors for the GQ , I put Silverado mirrors on it .
That's just some of the automotive junk / treasure .
Those GQ eleccy mirrors are worth a bomb if you've had a look on the net.
@GQtdauto is the GU radiator any good ? I'll give you a box of stubbies for it if you're throwing it away ? That is of course if you don't live in WA or Arnhem land
Yours and no I don't live in WA , Victoriastan same as you .
Was nothing wrong with the radiator , it was in the GU when we bought it but owner wanted to put a new one in because of overheating issues when pulling the van , missus wanted a quick buy so he put a natrad radiator in the back and I told him I would fit it .
After fitting it heating issues remained I just learned what gear to be in on hills and leave OD off .
Put it in the natrad box for protection but haven't opened it for two years I'll make sure no damage .
I'm near Glenrowan but may have to make a trip to the big smoke to get a warranty claim done on the camper trailer although I'm fighting to get it done local .
