What's there not to add up??
Angler catches a marlin, captain ferks up and sinks the boat and marlin gets away...simple really :)

I've had similar happen ( apart from sinking the boat) to me, where a rogue wave that no one had eyes on, hit the boat, knock the skipper off balance into his dad, who then fell on to the throttle, thrusting the boat forward and the skipper knocked overboard, all in about 2 seconds.
Bucket loads if under size dart and whiting talking to the netters todat all very quiet ; they haven't had a shot since ladt week so l don't feel to bad
Things aren't too bad out of Noosa, not really on fire though. We trolled around for a few hours on Sunday without a touch, no birds working and all very quiet on the radio. We found one boil up, tossed gold slugs into it and pulled out a couple of spotted mackerel, biggest went about 5kg. Trolled around the spot after they dived and got a couple of smallish spaniards. 10 minutes of madness produced the only fish we got for the morning.
The charter boys have been a bit hit and miss as well, some decent snapper and even a marlin while bottom bouncing, but again not getting as much action as they'd like to see.
The river is starting to become more consistent, I've been getting some decent flatties over the last few days on plastics and there have been some decent Jacks landed lately too, unfortunately not by me.
With Christmas fast approaching though the river mouth area will be a no go zone after about 8am, way too many clueless people in the water now. Swimmers in the middle of the very narrow channels, kayaks, rowers and once a year boaters are already creating mayhem on the water. Will have to go up river and see if the fish are on the chew up there yet.

Mate of mine supposedly bagged out in big squid of Werribee.
boy you fishies are a brutal lot lol
