I requested my loan be reviewed a few months back and they came back with a better rate.
Pays to check the going rates regularly and keep them honest.

The loan we just signed up for is better than 4.2%
Took no negotiation and we have never banked with them before.

What percentage did you guys need to borrow..
Back in the day we were the silly ones who borrowed like 90% of the value..
So for ages we've been paying lenders mortgage insurance aswell..
Only now after 8 years are we at the 80% mark..

We use a mortgage broker. I ring him twice a year and he goes around and runs some numbers and finds a better deal for us. Last I heard that next year interest rate will be going up. Might be a good time to lock in.
