Went to auto8 and got another 10 pack of Anderson plugs , only $29 on spec which is the cheapest in this town .
Now to set up the solar systems on camper and GQ so they play nice together or don't mind being separated .
Will take pics and let you know how I end up doing it if anyone is interested .
Keep forgetting the photo .

Not today but on Sunday I bought a Rivnut Kit and some 10mm eye bolts was going to install various rivnuts in my tray and move the eye bolts around as tie down points depending on what I have on the tray. Sick of all my gear sliding around when I'm on rough tracks. Kit does up to 10mm thread

That's awesome, well done GUBF !! Never knew Kingchrome made em, gonna have to get one of them if you don't mind me asking how much $ mate? We've been using elcheapo home made nut&bolt versions onsite as we could only afford one of the pneumatic factory line ones @ $2.5k :-(
When using Rivnuts/Nutserts for tray mount eyebolts I would like to recommend adding an extra topside backing nut to the eyebolt as the Riv/Serts are very soft and need help with lateral force if that makes sense mate?
That was $138 at Bunnings (https://www.bunnings.com.au/kincrome...t-kit_p5910346) and I think Toolmart over here had them for $145 but pretty sure Toolmart is a WA business. They must have just released it as I was looking at one about 12 months ago from Eclipse but that was closer to or over $200 from memory.
So eyebolt then a nut with the correct thread before going into the nutsert? I will have to see as the eyebolts screw in all the way but a nut may not have them grab enough thread, unless I have what your saying wrong.
Should've added, when we do need to remove one due to found maintenance torque slippage it's as easy as a long bolt inserted and heaved in circular motions and or nip off the topside sert lip and the guts of it fall inside/down. They are great things, just please don't rely on them for big sideways loads folks :-)
Sorry mate, typing same time, takes me ages:-)
Correct you are, and Cheers heaps for the links, legend :-)
A litre bottle on Old No.7 and a 700ml of Tennesee Fire. And two bottles of red. Lol. @gubigfish. I have the same kit. I cannot grasp the adjustments of this thing. I either do them too lose, or too tight and the pull through the panel. Grrrr.
I bought a redarc G52-EB, EGT and Boost gauge a few days ago, it arrived today and I notice it has a 1/8th NPT Male thread x 3/16" (4.75mm) Thermocouple Fitting, but I needed a 1/4" NPT male thread for my Manta 3" Exhaust. I had a couple of adapters at work for 1/8"-1/4" NPT, but these don't really allow the probe to sit in far enough if used.
I ended up buying a standard SS316 compression fitting from Pro-Chem in Perth, (Part Number 3-CM4-316) 1/4" Male NPT to 3/16" Tube. The problem with the usual compression fittings for SS Tube is that they are not designed to allow the tube to pass right through. The easy fix is to throw a 5mm drill bit through it (I had no imperial bits) and all is good in the world. Total cost was $14.50, beats paying Redarc another $50 for their 1/4" fitting.
Ahhh, got it now. I was going to cut my adapter in half, as it was fairly long but decided on just buying the right size fitting and drilling it out so the probe would fit through. Hopefully I can get the EGT gauge fitted this weekend, I also bought the Boost fitting kit that 3D linked to above, so should be good to go.
After much pissing around (about 3 days) I've finally managed to buy a pair of Silverado mirrors for the GQ , trying to get the plain one with just electric adjust that would ship to oz was a nightmare , one company wanting $99 for mirrors and $199 delivery .
This one has blinkers and god knows what else for $119 our money plus $23 delivery their money so I still get it for under $150 delivered .
Still have to make a bracket to suit the GQ but I think I can do it , might even hook the blinkers up but not sure I need heated function .

Link doesn't work apparently but they are the same as the GU owner had but basic black in colour .
Got a refund for 4 old camping mats that were leaking air and then got 4 new replacement ones!

Then whilst I was there, also bought a new tent for the family from Costco for $120 - one of the Coleman instant tents which will hopefully made set outs a lot easier!!

That's a great price on the tent. Pity we don't have Costco
Yeh it was a massive impulse buy, main thing was my other tents couldn't fit 4 sleeping mats side by side, so the kids would always end up sleeping ontop of the wife which wasnt very comfortable for her.... I was happy as Larry all by myself though hahaha
this new one will fit the 4 matts on next to each other so 🤞 it's a winner!!

@Hodge you can buy different fitting for those catch cans to suit different vehicles.

Most will laugh at this. Lol But i experienced it...
We had 6x4 trailer purpose built with an oil tanker (eletrical transformer oil) built by a mob in dandenong. I picked it up and only got as far as Ringwood.
Yup no grease in the rear axle.
This was in days of no smart phones but i wish i had a camera to take a photo of the glowing axle ... lol. Was very impressive.

The one i bought for my 3L was a full kit from western filters... even though they supplies wrong hoses. But thats an old story .
This one was surprisingly from a gumtree ad i ran into. Brand new with receipt from WF. Scored it for $100.

Ive only seen then for the Holden/Ford hubs but a search may find bigger sizes
Ive still got geo style tents in their boxes from when Lily worked @ Kmart.
End of season specials etc , had a heap of ten man jobs I sold to mates for $20
ideal for the fore shore down Rosebud. I cant fault them they pack up small
easy to erect, all I normally do is upgrade the pegs to som 6mm ones.
I had 10 at one stage.lol lol
Anyway... Went for a quick drive this arvo but struggled to find much good wood. Ran out of time so probably only got a couple of hundred kg of wood. New chainsaw has serious balls and the trailer tows well.
