Experience in forwarder and harvester operations in the pine, bluegum and hardwood forests with all chainsaw tickets.
Satellite dish/system installs (NBN, Vast, Foxtel) until Abbott ceased the NBN. FTA antennas till retail stores/Aldi selling antennas and free apps to tune in amongst way too many people taking on installs saturating the industry bringing it all to a crawl.
So I'm house employed to renovate the kitchen. I bought a second hand solid mountain ash (doors) kitchen in Eltham off Ebay for $500. I'm picking up the timber for making the benchtop from the sawmill in Benalla tomorrow. Next the bathroom!
Keeping busy is the trick to prevent going out of ya mind! :smiley_thumbs_up:
Its nice to read what other people do - what a good idea! Its gonna take me awhile to get thru the some 300 posts though.
I operate my excavator locally around the Macedon Ranges Vic. Spent too much time on union sites and working on housing developments for one pack of morons after another, so decided get my own machine. Now Im having a bit of a lazy waiting for the rain to stop. (so if u need any earthwork done around ur place - let me know)
I used to convert busses/coaches into motorhomes for about 5 years. Still do the odd one here and there and will prob keep doing the odd one here and there as I really enjoy it.
I also did a bit of demolition, renovation & plastering. I ran an engineering joint for some time, had a backhoe and have mucked around with cars all my life. I cant spell for sh*t so Jodie types alot of this stuff for me, but I make up for it by giving anything a crack - especially if theres a buck in it!
Jodie on the other hand is the brains in this team. Shes been a paramedic for the last 8 years and before that an underpaid Vet nurse for almost 10 years. Shes looking at studying at med school next year. Shes got more certificates and diplomas than I do socks! :)
IT Technician. Spend my days building computers. Fixing computers. Clearing up infections. All that jazz. People hate these Indian telemarketers getting into their comp and leaving virus's but I love them for it. It's

I work in the contact centre for Qantas Airways handling inbound and outbound calls as well as internal help desk for staff and complaint handling. Been there ten years now, pretty good effort for someone who hasn't turned 30 yet.
TCP you made me chuckle like an old woman.
Oh I might have posted before. I am a hydraulic fitter. Have been for far to long, 27 years now. I fix things that mechanics can't (just to keep the fitter mechanic rivalry alive). I also integrate systems into vehicle ECU's when the dealers get stuck.
I am also at university.
an emergency department social worker.. I'm fixing everyones shit and i got more issues than a womens weekly magazine myself!
I'm a ceiling fixer. I was apprentice mechanic 14yrs ago but lost the love for it & wanted more money & better hrs. Now I own & run Ceilings Of Perth, a small business that caters for nearly any job gyprock related in Perth's east, north & south. It has its rewards & its downsides but it's all I've known for so long that a change will not be on the cards for a long time yet I think.
I own and operate a small business specialising in repairs to cleaning and agricultural equipment. Pretty much anything and everything that is too big for a lawnmower shop but is not a car or truck. We re[air a lot of sweeping and floor polishing and grinding equipment and truck mounted carpet cleaning machines and pressure cleaning machinery. All commercial and industrial equipment, not Bunnings stuff. We also build and maintain liquid ring vacuum pumps used for vacuuming passenger trains.
Before that I was a technician for what was then the PMG then Telecom Australia, now Telstra. Was involved in the north west microwave project in WA and the radio comms on the Burrup to Perth gas pipeline.
Left my job as HACCP Coordinator/Shift Supervisor and now working on an avocado farm down South as a farmhand for the last 7 weeks
