It might be bloody obvious to some....... but I wish the Patrol manual made it clear that when you remove a front wheel hub to repack the inner bearing that you have to remove the seal & thus replace it! I now have a 3 wheeled Patrol sitting & waiting for some new seals to arrive from Patrolapart. Grrrrr.
And the seal was torn, with it's spring having partially escaped, so I can't just put it back together for the time being. Bugger! All part of the learning curve, better than finding out by the side of a track somewhere I guess.

Yeah it does suck, but probably caused by steroid medication I'm on, rather than absence of red meat in our diet. Probably the steroids that cause the high cholesterol as well. What really pisses me off is that over the 18 months I've been on these bloody steroids, I've kept asking the medicos if they are safe, & they've kept telling me that the dosage I'm on is too low to cause problems! Right! And there is now no guarantee that the osteoporosis can be turned around despite me now being put on a 'weaning off the steroids' regime. Thanks experts!Quote:

I recall that pulling in kelp off the beaches was a major industry, exported to Scotland once dried & ground up.
