I had weird noises for a while in my GQ, recently. It turned out to be the handbrake binding on very slightly. The noise appeared to be coming from the front passenger side wheel. I could drive for upwards of half an hour and turn and it would show up. Maybe the heat from the moving parts make the handbrake pads expand enough to start grabbing enough to make a noise? In the end, it started to show up after I used the handbrake while the nose was pointing down hill.
