Packed it, hooked up the camper whilst I'm crook as a dog.
That was painful, going to be more painful tomorrow driving up the Murray...lol

Or just call em
Yesterday they were at my local shops with a total of about 50 cops and at least 12 cars pulling everyone in for every little thing... fines, drinking ,unlicensed , unregistered , sheriffs... bloody everything.
I pulled in from the other end not realising and saw what was going on and freaked... had 4 cops staring at me as I pulled in.
Luckily they left me alone but there were so many clamped cars and defects and so on.. they are really on a blitz in my area.
They probably saw you and freaked out too !
By the way where was this .
Maybe I just don't live in the slums!
I've been without them for over a year now here in aus and had cops follow..
Never an issue.
I do believe in if you ask for trouble you will get it..
But yes it was an over sight in the rush..
Look you'll be safer with them but I would not stress. I have been away on long weekends and public holidays without them with no problems, even when I got pulled over.
mate has just purchaced a 2010 st ex police patrol and has no mud flaps
but left all the electronic cabling in and light bar is on top of bull bar
is that one rule for them and one for us
My new roof rack all packed Attachment 43417
removed to engine cover to see what difference if any it will make.
might stop it wearing/rubbing on the tigged IC too
Stay safe lucas most of the pics on the Woods point pub wall used
to be roll overs from ppl on the main road not out in the tracks.
The weather looks like its on your side ,a ripper in Melb this morning
Removed cargo door windows, rear sliding windows, all door seals, door weather strips, door striker plates, kick panels, pinch seals, door handles, locks, front quarter panels and heaps more.
All removed!
Yeah I agree with you mate, coppers get to know your car. But in the same token no having mudflaps on the rear has the danger of throwing loose stones into other peoples windscreens. Having a cracked windscreen because some idiot thinks its okay to not have them. not really fair.

Very simple and common mod, just a bit of led strip on the barn doors.

Hey Winnie
Did you wire them to the door switch. Or to a seperate switch.
There's a switch on either side so I can have either door light on and they are wired to a fuse panel on the back of the drawers which goes to the aux battery.
Finally fitted the front and rear Harris hardcase, fitted up easily.
Rummaged around inside the gq trying to find the rattles and stumbled across a factory subwoofer box under the drivers seat and another factory amplifier inderneath the passengers seat.
Pulled the drivers side woofer out and dismantled it...speaker was shagged and disintegrated in my hands but had a spare 4 inch speaker with same impedance as the factory one. Removed the old speaker and reinstalled the other one and cleaned the circuit board with board solvent. What a kick arse sound I have now and then continued to remove all the other factory speakers to replace them with 300w pioneer six inch items.
All the rattles gone now and have a fantastic sound coming from the stereo...no more rattles and one very happy camper! Found two concealed tweeters at the base of the windshield struts and figured it was an aftermarket fit but pulled them off to clean and test and are factory nissan items! The things you find when you root about...
Has anyone else found these items under the seats?
I had a factory amp under my seat........ it is asking for trouble under there with the amount of times my car has gone swimming!!!
Ha indeed...I imagine the bathtub shape of the enclosure would ensure a good drenching! Mine worked but the only thing left of the woofer and all the factory speakers was the centre bit...prompted me to vacuum the inner doors while I had them apart and clean out all the old speaker diaphragm bits. The woofer was only a 40 watt item in 4 inch so I removed it and replaced it with a 200w 4ohm item...makes my clacker clench now with the fully sik bass!!
Stuck down some rubber matting under the centre console and it is so much quieter in the cabin now. Big improvement for a few bucks.
Heaps of sanding and cleaning in the nooks and cranies of the door jams and what not. Finger tips are feeling pretty sore and I still have lots to go. But it's a step closer to the end result.
Slapped some new boots on her
New headlights.
Started it and drove it.... going for a wheel tomorrow before I go away for work again
Was actually yesterday, but was wheeling at rover park and had a stump put a nice ding in my drivers door and sill. Gotta take to the sill with a hammer now so that the door seal will actually do it's job.
took it out to the extended familys farm and scratched it! Also staked one of the tyres! Figure its time for a new set!
