I have two from my great grand Ma, one Ive dated to early 1800's
wooden handle not sure of other,
FYI "special steel" was made before stainless and from memory that's late 1700S
but would need to check again,
Warranted steel is different kettle of fish it just means its been poured [forged]
These guys were Cutlurers to the Royals, I think they made a heap of the faux bone butter knives
Loving that stone, did all my Mundial butchers knives, very sharp indeed.
