Ordered tyres..
followed a mate and got him to sit on 100klm...now my speedo read 100klm the same as him...the GPS read 100klm and still with the 33's on ????...so now all different from before....go figure ...so I still don't know where I am at ...lololololol...I can feel a ticket coming on lol
33's will put your speedo closer to actual speed.
So if you are doing 100, and gps reads 100 you betta watch that right foot..
Maybe just sit on 96 ish.. The others will be showing 100 on their speedos..
Put on a alloy roof rack Attachment 43221Attachment 43222
Where to start..
Forgot the stainless bolts for the roof rack, so went onto my water tank..
Started purging itand putting a few more tacks onand the auto helmet starts failing..
Quick trio to the shop for new batteries and a Iced Coffee. All good.
Get 1/3 done and run outta gas.
Ffs.. I'm really not spose to get this tank done..
Right'o, did the final bits on the rack ready for bolts and on the roof..
Looked at the taco.. 499812...
Close enough.. Popped down the shops for oil and filters. Changed the oil..
Put the alloy step back on and though it looked shabby.. Out with the wire bush, etch primer, and black paint.. I like it..
Finished oil change. Paints drying.
In the end, not too bad a day..
Monday will be hectic once I get gas and bolts..
Just dropped the rear diff oil..
The plug was looking a lot better than I expected..

And the oil looked new.
Happy with that..
Rewired the ignition on Ishah Troll. (Son's MK)
No idea. It definitely works, chirps around corners..
in the wet.. Lol
Might be a an old wife's tale. Somebody who knows more than me might comment
Today' I change all bushes of front sabers and stabilizer's bushes.
Also I found that my steering damper is already died.
Installed Safari Snorkel.
Stuck some foam lagging along the leading edge of my ply floored roof rack / sun shade to reduce the wind noise at 100 / 110 kms that I can now hear since I removed the AT tyres and fitted a set of HT tyres. Amazing how much quieter it is in the cab with different tyres!
Cheers
Chimo
Made up some brackets and mounted my old rear awning on the TJM roof rack I picked up.
Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner
Installed a new interior light so I can see at night when I open the door. Shame it was an old Toyota part.. Fitted new tyres too
Taking a learner driver for a drive.
Put new shoes on ready for winter so i can play in the mud. 285/75/16's

Just rotated tyres, and the amount of mud on the inside behind the wheel even week and a half after our trip, is mindboggling!
I thought my balancing was out due to the car being abused up in the mountains, but i think its the 4 tons of mud still lingering under my car and on wheels....
I spend way more time cleaning under the car and am not really bothered about the outside..
Yup tomorrow shes on stands and Ct18 and karcher are gonna get a workout!
Cut off my brush bar/steps to make way for some sliders, can't wait .. And that's what the missus said as she's struggling to get in ATM lol
Washed down engine bay, cleaned MAF. Also put her on stands and washed off about a ton of Tallarook mud, even though we didnt see that much mud.? GO figure.
Also made up a bracket for the catch can for a nice fit, but lost the f***** drain hose. The garage floor just swallowed it.

@ Hodge maybe spray some Lanatec on the electrical connectors you can see.
As water via a Gernie has way too much pressure
I don't high pressure the engine bay. I take the nozzle off so it's just like a light spray mixed with Ct18. Come up great .
I got her rego'd today! Yay!
New shoes..
Crap hey Kallen your spare looks a bit small!
