Couldn't quite afford the FENDT :-) !
picked up a free ride on lawn mower from work, fully working, the bloke was just too lazy to look into why it wasnt starting and made the school buy a new one cos it looked damaged. the old man will be very happy =D
Got a loan of this little baby for our next run out to the centre. Hooked up a couple of old batteries that had been charged up and away she went and layed down a satisfactory weld. And its gas-less too.
Means I can leave the stick bush welder at home, it works and has been used in anger twice. But it is hard to use as there is no current control whereas the mig has wire feed control to match amps plus more wire out of the tip lowers the amps too.
Have read using a length of chain in the circuit, shift the welder cable along the chain until the amps are good.

At $900 it would want to be good!
Buy one of these and use it on other peoples cars as I have done with my bush welder.
Sure they were very grateful and said a big thanks, it also stuffed my batteries. But words dont pay the bills!

Went over the ute today and found a small box of fuses, $9.10 in change under the seats and that there is $10-15 of fuel in the tank. Also the 5 tyres have around 90% tread and will fit Mrs mudsane's van, so there is my money back. I sort of had an idea that it could be roadworthy with a bit of work, but it will need a bit too much done on it. As well as a bush bomb it will be a great parts car.
Teenage daughter left her face ache page open on my 'puter.... Let the fun begin
