Front springs are in, couldnt get the required nuts n bolts loose in order to drop the rear diff to change springs, so will have to spend a few days spraying the feck out of them with some good penetrating fluid. Anyone suggest a good one to buy?
‘Penetrene’ in the little yellow bottle works a treat I reckon Clunk mate.

Dropped it off to get the rear main seal done.
While there I had a good chat with Brett (4x4 obsession) about getting some more power out of my tb45. Short story go Ls. Normally gets around 150kw at the wheels.
On the flat, no problem drives well, keeps up with traffic, loaded up for camping maybe 300 odd kgs and it doesn't like any incline, hills and I really struggle.
I saw a series 2 or 3 gu Patrol with a ls1 or 2. Asking price was $19,000. Was kitted out OK. If I was to do a ls1 in mine it will be a $18,000 drive in drive out job. Does that sound about right?? I will ring around to see what others are charging.
I would rather spend the money on mine as I know what everything else is like.

Not getting excited yet. Told the Mrs and she just stared at me for a few seconds and walked away.
Guys that have had a td42 conversion done in a shop, what kind of price have you paid. Just as a comparison.
The price I got is a full job literally drive in as is drive out all done.
