looking good mate.
Whats the go with the brake line. Was it just something with yours or is it something that needs to be changed on all GQ's?
Looking really good rossco

Nah all GQ's that have the filter on the passenger side. It does more of a dog leg and goes hard left around the the bracket. The other ones end up in the way of the bracket. Could do a bit of bendy bendy but would be a bit dodgey i reckon . . Could also get braided but probably a bit pricey for what it's worth. Cheers heaps for the bracket BTW ☺ ☺

Thank me for the bracket too I reckon...lol. is that t he one I found in the machinery shed Matt?
Looking great Rossco

Bit more progress, slowly but surely the old girl is getting there . . . Works been a bit flat out and was feeling a bit under the weather last week so didn't get in too much shed time. . .
Anyways got front doors on today with AB's help. Think we decided we would both make tribble panel beaters, got them lined up a bit then gave up! I'll wait till Lenny comes around and he can throw his magic touch at everything hopfully . . .

Retrimed the doors with some bunnings carpet, came up pretty smart I reckon. . .

Looks great Rossco.
Looking great Rossco well done but pull the finger out will you we want to see it finished .
Not long now mate where you going first ?
Going well there bud! You should have hit the carpet with some degreaser and the pressure washer. Degreaser works really well in getting stains out. But you are going to know yourself when its done. It will be smooth as I reckon. on the tail end of it for sure now.
YAY got these bless ed barn doors sorted finally. . . Let's just say they needed a gentle "massage" . . . Well maybe not so gentle.
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2017/08/75.jpg
And lined up the other doors too. . . They are pretty tight with the new rubbers and feel sold as with the Ping Jing. ☺

Time to finish this thing off, think the light is definatly at the end of the tunnel now. . .

Nearly just guards, bonnet, bar, winch, spare wheel, sliders. A few things but not too bad. Inside not to much either just more wiring [emoji21] and seats. . .
Think i have my mind made up on some autotecknica ones like the ones @Parksy put in his. . . Heard not bad and bad things about Autotecknica they are certainly affordable, Recaros and the like just can't justify spending over 2G each on a seat. . .

Hey Rossco, looking shit hot mate, cant wait till you are done. Any idea on hours you put into this one?
...........on the road
Top job mate ,top job .
Hmm doknow. . . Did a quick calc and thinking maybe 300 ish ? ? . . . Mmm that sounds like a few [emoji53]. . .
Sent from my GT-I9506 using Tapatalk
Oh yeah that,d be a very conservative guess i recon. . . Although if you paid someone who know what they were doing it would be done in heaps less time i recon. . .
Reckon i spent half the time looking for tools and parts that I lost or put somewhere stupid and drinking beer. . . That's the next task, add up how many stubbies it's taken . . [emoji6]

👆🏼hahahaha stubbies impacted on the door saga
I have no doubt your pushing 300 hours lol.
When i did mine it was a month off the road lol..
And the sound deadening makes the doors feel soo much more solid ey..
Ffs. Why did i sell mine...... [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]
Getting there slowly just chucked a battery in and tested a few things. Hmm have a few gremlins to try nut out. . . Headlight low beams not working, right indicator in the cluster, window washers both front and back rear demist RH taillight, and stop lights so far all need to be sussed. Horn works tho, happy about that. . .
Sent from my GT-I9506 using Tapatalk
Well despite the bloody electrical gremlins SHES ALIVE BABY [emoji5] .
Wired up the Bogaart glow plug timer, let it do its thing then bang fired straight up. Love having factory working glow plugs now works an absolute treat. . .

Cheers Strop, just putting away, had a very enjoyable day today just tinkering along. Hopefully Matty might be able to lend a hand soon but yeah it' get there.
The body is all together now and all adjusted. Have to say it is looking pretty smicko and everything seems to be working pretty nice body wise.

Bonnet back on with fancy new insulation blanket thingy. Works nice can just close it and give it a little push to latch it as opposed to slamming the buggary out of it with the old one. . . Ah the little things [emoji4]
