Really good shot there fella,I like the idea of the reflected sunshine on the water there mate.
I think there is just a bit too much sky though, maybe crop it down to just under the big cloud top right, just an idea.

Thanks mate, yeh the Goldy is too crowded for my liking these days, still a great place, but personally id rather go to the Sunshine Coast these days :D
I actually like it like that Fracster, its exactly why i bought that lens in the first place, the main thing for me is there is cloud at the top of the shot , normally id have gone for more "colour" in the clouds, but I was on a moving boat at the time, they had $10 all you could drink, so i was quite smashed when i took that one :trink13:
Feel free copy and cut the image yourself and play around with it to how you like it (then please post image here), i think i know where you are coming from and be interested to see, but i also have a feeling, you may find in doing what you suggest, will not only change the original aspect ratio (or lose the reflection on the water) + goes against the rule of thirds, and may not actually look that pleasing to the eye ?
Thanks fracster, yeh im always interesting to see stuff different ways through talented eyes !
These are from the Glass house mountans forum trip, taken while waiting at the meet up spot (the lookout) and was the only time conditions were dry and mud free , so are all i got before it rained :frown:

I sure Fracster would be impress.
Should start an Assie wildlife Picture only thread
I painted my GU twice, what more do you want ..... (ha-hahah !)
As for Bigrigs wedgie, would i need a wide angle lens for that shot ? :eck05: Ha-ha !
Fractser would be the best person to start a wildlife pic thread, bit hard to shoot "aussie" wildlife from the UK tho (need a biiiiiiiig zoom lens for that) he-he
As for Bigrigs wedgie, would i need a wide angle lens for that shot ? :eck05: Ha-ha !
No, just a cracked one will do!

Thanks guys , its nice to be back !
There is a joke there somewhere about QLD sunshine and you living with grey sky in the UK, (sorry i used to live in Coventry,West Midlands, could't help myself, lol)
Yes ,a CPL is used, but no Photoshop, i use a wide angle lens (low ISO), a Circular Polariser, plus i add Saturation and a bit of contrast in the camera shoot settings, the water actually looks like Pepsi Max (yes black), this adds even extra depth to the blue reflection from the sky.
Plus it is really Blue ;)
You need a tripod and set camera to a long exposure, then use a torch to light the car, then run over and flick the head lights on etc, a bit of compositon and a nice background helps, of course the full moon aids with lighting.
Some night ones from straddie i took tonight ........

Your a talented man mate, always make sure I check out your pics when I see a post from you...lol
That looks so much better with that front bar and wheel/tyre combo, certainly gives it a much more menacing stance. Are you on holidays Steve? Seeming as im still outta work was gonna try and get to see this thing in the flesh and maybe ask you a few questions ;)
I think you and some others should get together with Andy and make a calendar.........
Love the photos, great camera work.

Yeh man you missed out, i didn't want to take pics of the Hilux i was in, so called out for any Patrols, don't know if you heard, but i put the offer out to everyone around the campfire, and to be honest, i was a little surprised ONLY Ben and Chris put their hand up for a pic.
