Are the mods or AB able to sort out a poll or is it not needed.
Sent from me using Forum Runner
My wife confirmed she is in today
I am now confirmed (98%) for Friday to Sunday so I can get stuff sorted without too much rushing about??
I will bring a bunch of stuff with me in a trailer like tables and stuff... need to sort out some other stuff also including salad bread and so on for the big feed.
Who would want Souvlaki and if so we would need pita bread or the like?
Or do we say everyone bring there own crap to suit meat on a spit and they can do what they like?????
Still going to do bangers for lunch.
Just had a chat about what we catered for my 30th and we reckon it was around 1kg meat per 4 people. That's around 3 snags each and 250gms meat for dinner. Add in some salad/sides at dinner (byo?) and that is a relatively good meal.
Not sure how that works for the budget but may be a good starting point for guesstimates?
Good one mate!
Yeah they do usually like some notice. Some will even put the meat on the spit for you if you take it to them. Not sure how well it would travel like that but would certainly save some hassles at the other end
so i was talking to the old man about this meetup this morning. i said i was heading down to the meet with nisshead in his car. dad suggested i borrow my uncles toyota troopy. reckon everyone will forgive me if i do? i can cop the shit all weekend but i dunno if i would make it onto the property... matt might not let me on haha
Fark that! Go in comfort with Krisso
Hahahahaa! sorry mate i don't mean to be rude but when we have a party or a bbq/ spit for our selfs we calculate .5 - 1kg of meat per person plus sides and drinks
[QUOTE="relyimah;535973"] Some will even put the meat on the spit for you if you take it to them./QUOTE]
We'll be marinating the meat and packing it onto the steak, that way it'll be easier to transport.
I don't think that's rude at all mate :)
I was looking at it from a photo of view that 250gms of meat per person per meal "supplied" as a pretty generous amount. Anyone that wants 1-2kg of meat for lunch/dinner would surely be expected to bring the additional? Haha
Also fair point on the spit, was just throwing options out there :)
guys please check out and vote in this poll if you are coming. find it Here
It was on the assumption that most people go for seconds and nibble afterwards and after a quick discussion with jonathan which reminded me that not everyone eats alot while they drink there should be a little bit left over the next morning unless we're animals and smash it during the night hahahaa. Yeah the kids arn't added i the calculations either lol .
My social circle enjoys their food so i always cater for extra than what is needed and usualy ends up being roughly the 1kg mark unless they are machines and they need more haha thats why there is sweets afterwards lol.
