Ahhh I think I might have confused you guys, I said I was after the ecu but I reckon I'm after the tcu. I didn't know they were two different things. I got instructions to use a test light to see if the signal that tells the lockup converter to lock pulses on and off thus causing the converter to lock/unlock and therefore pi55 me off! Lol

I know how to fix this mate! What you do is put in a td42 and 5spd manual cog swapper ;-) works every time
Yeah i reckon that would work. The TD42 (with a nice fresh turbo and intercooler) would be great! But I love the Auto for hills and mud and sand (not that ive done any sand in my own). Its good not having to swap cogs half way up a steep muddy hill. But at the moment it sucks just cruising along the highway lol.....
I priced up another temp sensor $114, which isnt bad if its a fix but its a 2 week trip from Japan home of the Patrol.

Paid for the temp sensor today, now the wait till it gets here.....
Then the wait till it's fitted......
Then the wait to see if it has fixed the problem....thats the worst wait of all!!
