I'm only running 31" dualers. About 50% tread.. hope that's ok..

Have new Maxxis AT's. Car seems in reasonable nick, regular services etc and have had it checked out by some people that 'seem' to know what they are talking about.

As Growler said, take a tyre plug kit too, on desert trips we have done most puncture repairs without taking wheel of car. You want to avoid using tubes.

Ow absolutely agree. The tube is if you slash a tyre and last resort only

Use 10 plugs. We've repaired bobcat tyres with lotsa plugs. Big slash and a tube is useless unless you patch it on the inside of the tyre first
