You're a legend mate. Thanks a million for that. Will be good to get it all under way. What ever is easiest for you works for me. I can ride past on my way home if you like.
Thanks for that mate. I'll do just that while they are off.

Big update
A big thanks to Bloodyaussie the bloody legend for grabbing me a new turbo oil feed fitting.
Today was the day that the project finally came together. Dad came over for fathers day and we smashed out the remaining jobs.
Today we:
- Fitted the exhaust
- Bled the clutch
- Installed and wired the diesel tank
- Removed remaining gas parts
- Drove it!

I have a small issue though. After driving and parking I noticed an oil leak. To me it looks as though it's coming from around the oil filter area? I haven't touched the filters yet and they are tight. Any ideas? When it's idling it doesn't seem to leak, only when driving around.

Rocker cover gasket?
Awesome, sounds grouse.
How do you like it compared to the old motor?
Hopefully the oil leaks easy to track down. It's hard to see in the photos, could be rocker cover.
Thanks mate. Feels good to have it finally running. I don't think it's the rocker cover. Only seems to be wet underneath the filters.
Edit:
I just remembered that I ran the rocker cover breather hose down that side of the engine. It could be that pouring oil out? I'm at work so I can't check until I get home..
Quick update.
Oil leak was not from the rocker cover breather which is good, means no blow by! I think it was coming from the back oil filter as it was really wet underneath it and it only happened when the car stopped, not when it was running (which leads me to believe it was the filter o-ring).
I gave her a service with new oil and filters. I'll take it for a drive tomorrow night and see if that's fixed it, fingers crossed.
I've almost got all my wiring sorted out. I grafted out the wires from the TB harness for the coolant temp gauge and warning light so they are now functional.
I also swapped my oil pressure sender from the TB to the TD as the TD didn't have an oil pressure gauge, only a warning light. That now works perfectly on the dash.
I now just need to figure out how to get the tacho to work. Any ideas?
Here's a few pics of the wiring.

Looks bloody good.
I think you just need to run wire from the two pins on the back of the tacho to the engine speed sensor on the front of the motor. Think thats all there s to it, I got patrolapart to do mine. . . That's another option if your feeling lazy.
Belated update
The rego expired on the GQ and I didn't have enough time to play with it until yesterday. Finally having some free time I paid the rego and tried to fix the leak. It turned out my supposed oil leak was actually a diesel leak from the diesel return line.
It's now just a case of getting the tacho working and then it's a complete functioning conversion.
I'll be taking to for it's first proper test drive to Kinglake this weekend if anyone's interested in tagging along.
Finally a real TD42t

Well done mate, Shame it wasn't last weekend as Rossco was keen as mustard and went up that way on his own.
My vehicle is being pulled apart this weekend so I'm out unfortunately!
Unfortunately the financial situation didn't allow for driving last weekend, plus a big Saturday night destroyed my enthusiasm anyway.
I have a mate that can recover me if it goes sour but I have trust in the TD42 that she should be alright.
We should organise a group drive up that way in the coming weeks/months.
