Here is my 85 MK L28 4speed with 300k , just got the aircon and alternator sorted. A bit of pinging...mechanic says probably carbon built up. oil pressure shows 3!....volt meter and speedo dnt work

Looks nice, speedo is probably broken cable or cogs worn in instrument head

The speedo needle seem to be bent and gets stuck to the meter surface. Just added a stereo..original owner had a few amplifiers under the seats just had to rig them to the head unit. The pinging is still there even with 97 octane and engine sound loud..mentioned in another thread very annoying... Nope I hv not lifted it yet although if the prev owner did..i wont know
