great pic, thats a beautiful bird, on a side note i love the gear your shooting with, thats a very expensive camera body your shooting with, i hope you lens collection is just as good =P

Some places over here do get a bit of snow now & again.
This is my place in August 2005. We usually get a few light falls each winter, but that year was the heaviest.

That is a cracking shot of your house Cuppa, looks a great place as well. I would love a house in the country but they are silly money over here.

Rusty, I use a 300 and 500 f4 primes for most of my wildlife stuff.

Jas, i`m really impressed with the Auto focus on the D800. It was just a matter of dialling in some negative exposure to get the whites of the bird to show against the snow.
