Just applied for a new job, probably won't get it but I feel happy that I have started to look, I am finally over the ^^%$#%^&&&%$% I work for at the moment
Flew up to Port Hedland for the weekend to spend time with the missus. Took a taxi to where she was staying in South Hedland.
Man, that place is a world of its own. I've never seen so much Hi Vis in all my life! I nearly broke out my MAMIL suit, just to be a 'local' for the weekend. lol. The majority of houses I saw had 6 foot fences, too.
I saw more Tojos than Trolls. Lots of 4wd's up there have light bars. Got woken up every morning by the minesite compliant vehicles and their reversing beepers. It started about 5:30am and peaked at about 6. lol. I want one!
Anyway, got home at about 12:30am this morning, and at work at 8. It was a loooong day today. lol.
Daughters on the front page of the local paper...Go Ebb...both girls are into the repatory theatre..Sort of like musicals and plays..we have been doing 3 trips a week into town for rehearsels for 3 and a half months..performed last weekend and this weekend. All shows sold out...
And yes I am also happy it's nearly over.long days and nights and No more 3 - 4 times a week going into town.

I work for a tower crane place and one of our cranes came back to the yard with the on site refuelling station with over 500 litres of diesel in it that was bought by the builder so our boss said fill up your cars boys.
I just so happend to still be carrying my 20 L jerry can and had an empty sub 30L and less than a 1/4 tank in the main so 70L to fill up.
So all up 120L of free diesel gotta love that!

Ha ha ha.... im falling apart but at least I can deal with this...
It's a good outcome Johno! Could be far worse as you said...

Three day conference...
I stayed at the Mecure opposite the casino and me and a few others drank ourselve stupid on Monday night at The Strathmore hotel next door and then on Tuesday night we had a tour of the rAdelaide oval, boring as bat chit as I'm mot the sporting type, but thegood thing was we had dinner there in a function room and our table of 10 manged to do two bottles of Vodka, four bottles of wine, a bottle of Jack and 8 jugs of beer. We out did every other table there and once kicked out we then headed back to the Strathmore and continued until 2am and gawd I felt crap in the morning.
Was quite funny really as there was guys from every state there and they all said to us Vic's that they heard about us and our drinking habits every year when we go.
Every year I go I get so messed up I just can't do that for atleast another year. The nights were fun but the conference was time to sleep...
