Morning all
I should be asleep too. Lol. Got another week down south and the weather's not looking too perfect. Looking forward to catching a salmon or two in Albany later today, then beach camping/fishing between Albany/Denmark for a week.
Yeah I've packed all my JD collection away, about 12 bottles I think I'm up too Lol, so I'm on home brew and the 11 buck chuck "chatue de'cardboard" cask wine and drinking from a Homer Simpson glass. God I cannot wait until I move! This time next week I will be in my new/ old house!
Busy and exciting times ahead.
👍
Hmmm... I hope you're joking.
Intense sleep deprivation for three days in a row, is where they say a biological human starts to hallucinate.
3 hours of sleep in three days while working amounts to bit more than zero hours of sleep. It's a negative number, which is even more dangerous.
Experiments were performed on astronauts long long time ago.
Good morning dom....
I will be attending night shift soon. Save some awesome jokes and stuff for me.....

I'm only about 5 kms from home. 👍

I used to work permanent nights, loved it. Monday to Wednesday 5pm to 4:30am, Thursday 5pm to 1am. Usually home in bed by 5:30- 6am, then up at 12 or 1pm...... or if i did overtime finish at 6, in bed by 7am and up buy 2pm......... with a nice long weekend every weekend, or overtime on Saturday mornings if I wanted. I found it quite easy but I guess that's because I was always a night owl anyway and didn't have a family back then
This will be 5 day shift, 5 off, 5 night shift, 5 off, 4 day, 4 off, 4 night, 4 off and repeat

Good ole "lifestyle" roster as they call it up here. Its not nice. I prefer more consistent shifts. Experience tells from about night 3 you are starting to be ok with it. Working mon-fri afternoon/night shifts (1600-0000) is easy as its consistent. 4-5-5-4 is hard to get use to. Danger hours are between 0300 and 0400.
Hours are 6:30 to 6:30 whether it's day or night.

Yeah it'll be a shock. The closest I've come is a few months of afternoon shift a long time ago. That was 4pm till 11pm which was great because it wasn't much later than the time I'd normally be up till.
Luckily we don't have any kids yet so I'll be able to run the routine I need.

I often stay up all night but it'll be hard without beer....

Worst shift I ever worked was 2 x 6am-2pm then 2x 2pm-10pm then 2x 10pm- 6am, then 2 days off, repeat that sequence another 2 times then 6 days off..........
Oh yeah that sounds terrible. With only two days off!

I fell asleep at work standing up and still working till I was woken up trying to put already baked bread into the dough mixer !! Back in the day when I was a baker !!!

So im prepping some camping shit for this weekend .
Making the most of the situation. Lol.
