@ DOM surely you have heard of ppl wanting to fit say 30mm coil/spring spacers.
The thin ones are far better than the OE rubber gasket they use.
When Im feeling a bit better Ill buy a slab of coopers and come up ha ha

Hi Darren sorry for delayed reply.
Yes I am slowly ticking off items good for 100k service. Some things I can't/don't know how to do my self, like brake fluid, valve clearances etc... Which will be done at JPC.
As for my clutch... Well... I only "suspect" it as being stuffed.
Possible symptom 1 : Since I bought the car, a lot of the times when I take my foot of the pedal I hear a "clunk" which varies in harshness. Initially I thought this was somewhere further down the driveline, but this also happens when tranny is in neutral.
Possible symptom 2 : Going up a steep section up in the high country recently, in 1st low, all of a sudden it's as if I hit something and I wasnt going forward any more, car began rolling backward. I think, the clutch slipped then...
Possible symptom 3: Recently Mudski jumped in my car and he said my clutch is engages at the very last play of the pedal. I would have been none the wiser...
All other times gears change fine and it never slipped or anything like that apart from the clunk (symptom 1).
When I spoke to Mark at JPC he didn't know what to think of it, but found it very surprising clutch is gone before 100k... Unfortunately to inspect properly, gearbox out etc... I think it's around $800 mark for labour to swap it out.
So I impulse bought the clutch off Mark which he no longer needed and was brand new from 4Terrain. Just under $500 including the awesome timber box.
The other thing is my car towed a caravan around Aus, I don't know how big. But maybe that has something to do with early clutch retirement ?
For all I know this clutch could be perfect but something else at play causing my symptoms? Don't know.
That was a good idea letting Mark have a drive.
Years ago when we were all riding bikes we used to swap
every 3 months or so to pick up any faults.
Being the owner you don't really feel things deteriorate slowly
as you adjust and just get used to it, hope that made sense, lol
Just replaced the gearbox oil. Oil was still oil but a bit murky. Nothing but micro-shavings and sludge on the magnet, which is good.
Hardest part was getting the car level enough for accurate re-fill.
Another item ticked off the list... Also hope this lessens the infamous gear chatter/rollover rumble this thing has.

Getting there, OOI after you put the yellow polyurethane washers on the bottom of the coils
what did you use on the top just the OE rubber ones??
