This is good news isn't it, no longer a virgin now
at least there will be no putty in the guard,
Whats the turn around time or not worried as
long as they repair it right.?
Good news on the chassis too eh??

Well it's a bit of a conundrum really, yes it's good that it can be repaired but as a family, we're kind of getting to the point where a wagon doesn't really suit our needs.
GQ's are not too good on rear leg room for 3 growing kids, especially with me and the missus up front. A newer roomier vehicle with auto is what the requirement has now become
In regards to turn around time - no idea, will depend on how long it takes for them to get the parts in. No idea what they will do about the bullbar either seeing as its custom, so they won't be able to source one, so I'm guessing I'd get a cash payout for that.
GU time brother, our 11YO eldest is now as tall as Mum and we'd be stuffed in a mighty GQ too!
This ones the go Clunkstar!
You can spend your weekends on repairs instead of relaxing too:-) http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...017/01/140.jpg

TD42's to expensive, not interested in a zd30, only option would be a TB48.
We're actually thinking of the crewcab ute route, drove passed Nissan the other week and I actually had the 3 kids with me, so quickly stopped in so we could test the space in the NP300 Navara, definitely more room that the GQ for sure. Just load up and away we go - no trailer required.
Will try out the other makes just to see what they're like too - but buying one will more than likely be a long way off and I'll have to start selling my services to save up - which might take even more time ;)
Dare I say it, only because in a past life was a ToyYoda driver. Maybe a cheap Troopy of old could work for long legged family adventures. My only gripe with Yoda's was drivetrains yet if not flogging the the old ones on casual family trips I reckon they'd last forever mate!
