I'm back in the land of the living after a trip to the dentist yesterday. Just gotta gargle salt water 3 times a day for a week. lol

I expect the forum to be a bit quiet for a week or so.

Got Xmas day off, but have to work NYE

hopefully tonight goes fast so i can start my leave. 1st full xmas and nye's for 8 years so will be good for the missus and munchkin

na shift work is joy fun it runs 24/7 and as luck would have it my shift get tonight and tomorrow night as our night shift. the company supplies us with xmas dinner though prawns cray and other cold meats and salads. not bad for a small southwest refinery in WA.

I know how you feel with the kiddies my daughter was awake from 1 til 4 am this morning i scored that shift because i was coming onto nights so i got a sleep in which is all good.

It's always the smaller companies who throw the best festive season parties / meals hay.. nice score.
I'm about to wake the little mumpskin so her cousin doesn't open all the toys...

It used to be a really popular place, where everyone including newbies would end up for a chat and a general how's your father

G'day Gavin. How's the truck?

Gday all I might be receiving my pass to card to use this thread hopefully as might be starting a new job and obviously will be doing night shift. Am really looking forward to starting this new job as it is a fair bit out my comfort zone. I have been a cabinet maker for around 10 yrs now with a few jobs in between but will be working on planes for boeing if I get the job, so I am looking forward to the challenge of learning a whole set of new skills.
