Looks like a lot of hard work just to install a set of shocks, they would want to make 100% difference in ride and handling, can't see the average joe blow wanting to buy these unless they have the coin to get someone else to install them
Nah not at all Todd,
They are pretty well identical to fit to any shock, these just have the remote canister (the key to performance) thqt you ahve to also mount. THe kit comes with the bracketry and you just need to bolt it up. THe back one i have Zip Tied to the chassis Cross member on top of teh fuel tank. All good.
They are awesome.
The rear shock tower brace is a separate job and was a bit of a bitch but relatively straight forward and will make a massive difference. I had Torn the left side half of the chassis!
What was the rear shock brace worth? I have the body of mine at the moment so if it worth doing it would be pretty easy to do right now.
Is it required only with big lift or is it something just worth doing
Nah worth doing regardless mate. It is a weak point in a Nissan, especially if your car sees allot of corrugations or jumps and or heavy loads.
Jump on the superiors site in the link on the previous page I think, I think it was $120 or something! Great value I think. They say you need a body lift to fit it, not sure if that's just to make it fittable or it needs the space. If you have the body off then give them a bell and they will guide you. They do a bolt on kit but that is upwards of $400 and I am thinking of putting it on the GUIv
So the brace doesn't attach to the chassis then? For some reason I thought they would have.......... bet it would be an absolute pig to fit if you didn't have a body lift ;)
MCCrappatappalot signing in!!!
And still no long arms.....
Yeah you could not get it in.
It came with a bolt kit and bolts up from underneath the shock towers. See the pics I posted and you can see the bolts in place.
I'll jump on my phone and post the pic again via tappa.
Really impressed with the brace!! If you have a body lift or a ute then you should not leave home without one!
I was looked after in this project no doubt but have no obligation tomSuperior to spruce this item but it is simply awesome!
Have they fixed the issue of the shock rotating and busting off the remote line?
