Am a heavy duty mechanical fitter by trade. Worked almost entirely in the mining industry on earth moving equipment, residential in remote WA for most of it. Have been working for Rio Tinto for the last 9 years. Am now Perth based working in the office as an Online Asset Health Specialist. Basically monitoring the earth moving equipment faults via real time monitoring through satellite tracking and then troubleshooting the fault for the mine site to action. By the way I work a 3 day 3 night 6 off roster in Perth which is pretty good, gives me plenty of time to muck around with me patrol.
