They're predicting snow down to 300mts this weekend & POSSIBLY sea level !!!!
I had a taste of it at AB's place and I think I am still a little bit drunk?
Yeah I am, gonna take a break from it while in Bali but probably go sober again for the rest of the year.
I'm 32kg down so far so at least I have something to show for it.
Hmm not me. Im doing Dry July so its only for this month. I started early so I can finish before the snow trip... Lol.
But we'll see after this what happens whether I stay off or not. I have a drink every night, just a glass or two of wine, not much, but thats what I grew up with. Italian family, my dad would have a glass or two of red every night, now I do it.
I think the hardest part is breaking habits. I used to always have a beer when I got home from work and that was a hard habit to break.
Worst one for me though was eating while watching TV. Kept telling myself I was hungry when really I was bored. Now I will go for a walk or read something instead.
No booze & no sugar ?! Kill me now . You must have your reasons & good on you for doing it. When I split up with my 1st missus I got blind drunk a few times - it doesn't fix any problems but it gives your head a break from dealing with it all for a few hrs , then I made a decision to stop drinking all together - I had a fair bit going on so needed a clear head , not that I drank much anyway just 1 or 2 stubbies a night but if I didn't stop I think I would've gone the other way & just drank all the time . Had about 3 months off it & felt great . Was bloody hard because I was working away at the time & living with a heap of blokes in a house just up the rd from the pub , we'd have tea their most nights but I just drank lemonade . Once I got things sorted I went back to 1 or 2 a night .
Regretfully, I'll have to pull out of this. :frown:
Without tarnishing this thread with my bulls#it, just see my angry thread post.
I will send my $ fee $ with Mudski an he can fix it up when there.
Snow down to 800m this weekend, and looks like it's going to be a very cold week.
We might have picked a perfect weekend here gents! We will be driving up over 1500m on Saturday!
Yeah my kids are really excited about this trip. They get a day off school, and see snow!
im getting excited too lol, im starting to get restless at night when i sleep haha.
As am I, it's going to be great having a few days off work thats for sure!
Yeah I'm keen as for a nice glamping weekend! Gonna be awesome to have the kitchen for us, and that fire pit is huge!
I am putting my diet on hold for a few weeks for our trip to Bali, so this weekend I will drink whiskey and eat good food!
Fixed that typo for you @Winnie
Speaking of food. I assume we just bring our own? All pots and pans etc are their in the kitchen to use?
Getting excited here too , would you mind calling past my place in Heyfield on your way Winnie because I reckon I'll still be putting mine back together ha ha , you said you're going to be 1500mts on Saturday - are you going in over Mt Useful for the scenic drive? I wasn't sure if people were just going straight up the bitumen to Licola or doing a tour on the way in, is there any set plans yet?
I dunno what the rest of the guys are doing but I am driving straight up the bitumen Friday night after work.
Saturday we are going to drive over to the pinnacles!
A trailer for kitchen utensils? What the eff is he cooking??
We can all meet at my place if you want gents no probs.
Coffee at bakery then hit the road!
If we get in early set up, get firewood, etc we could do a sneaky Friday arvo drive too.
Let's aim at 8am but we'll finalise exact times next week?
Sounds good. What's the deal with food? We bring our own etc? Will we do communal cooking?
Yeah that would be a big job and I'm not keen on that... I nearly ruined roast dinner for 4 blokes in the dessert, imagine if I ruined roast dinner for 40 blokes!
Happy to do our own thing, might get a little bit fancy with a full kitchen though!
