Thats a frickin awesome result, it's the feel good story of the year!!!!!!!
Fantastic news, well done to the fundraisers, those who donated be it prizes, cash, parts whatever, the organisers, the bankers, the shoppers and couriers every one and lastly the mechanics.
So happy to read of your success:band::1062::1062::1062::animierte-smilies-t
Congratulations to everyone that helped. Good stuff guys. If I was closer I would have definitely come to drink beer and eat.
Happy motoring roofy!

Woohoo!!!
Well done everybody, kudos to you all!!!
I bet Roofy is grinning ear to ear now!
Good onya, blokes..
Great stuff guys. Great to see and makes me proud to be a member here
So happy for you roofy. I hope you like your new donk and can't wait to hit the tracks with you
And also would have loved to helped but my skills are limited although I can swing a spanner under direction I guess
But as some one mentioned earlier too many chefs or some such
I'm glad my donation has gone to a successful outcome. My wife and I donated about 2k to beyond blue last year and whilst it's a great charity its nice to see the end result in this case
Bah too much rambling I'm just soooo sooo stoked for you mate
You blokes are legends. I'm sure Roofy is stoked !!! Well done again.
Hats off to you fellas!!
Well done guys.. great outcome
That's awesome news guys! Sorry I couldn't make it today, just got home now and was about to call to see how you're going but seems you don't need my help anyway!
Awsome outcome guys, so good to see Roofy and Jane back on the road. Well done to those who donate, time , money or advice.
Well I have come home from welcoming Grandchild number 6 to find the BEAST in the driveway looking very sexy (No not Roofy) haha.
The Beasty Patrol!
I can see how hard everyone worked this weekend to put our car back on the track. There was Rosco, Mudski, Bloody Aussie, Matty and Winnie all helping to do such a good job.
Without Nissan Patrol.com .au we wouldn't be able to go 4x4ing anymore or camping or exploring the bush and all the other things that we live to do. It has been amazing by a lot of people helping and donating money for our car. It has really made Roofy realise what great friends he has made on this forum. And people he doesn't even know have contributed!
We both really appreciate everything that has happened and would like to have a meetup on a weekend in May to say thanks.
As Roofy will be out of action for a while we will organise a date shortly and hope as many as possible will make it.
Thanking you all. Jane. and Roofy
Was a pleasure to help Jane. Roofy sure cooked up a mean steak last night to feed us so that helped finish off a great day haha. Can't wait to see you guys back at camp soon and hope it gives you plenty of good reliable service in the future. So happy the rig is back on the road. It makes those curse words that may of been used yesterday all worth it haha.

Sorry i didnt stay long enough to say hi Jane. I was litterally falling asleep in your lounge after lunch. I just needed to get home.
I didnt sleep alot last night. I kept on thinking about what needed to be done today and all the ifs and buts that go with it. Plus your fat ginger cat decided i was the place it was to reside for the night. On me or jam itself between my feet.
We got it done in the end. Without many hiccups.
A word of advise to anyone doing a remove and refit of a ZD30.
Put the bloody engine mounts on the motor before you drop it in....
Lol.
I have footage of the first start up. I just have to figure out how to upload it.

I am so bloody happy with the outcome and roofy is a truly deserving or more so jane is..lol
Roofy turns up to just about every meet up and watch's the sometimes childish antics of the rest of us and at times has stayed at camp while we go and play so as to make sure our stuff is safe.
Always has a good attitude (unlike some of us...lol)
I cannot wait for roofy to get this operation out the way and we have a meet up to celebrate all that is good.
Good on ya everyone
Phenomenal outcome everyone. A huge well done to the NissanPatrol.com.au forum community.
Great news, thanks very much to all who donated and especially those who did the organising, running around and the physical work.
Great outcome and couldn't happen to a more deserving couple. Like I said earlier we need Roofy mobile, I use him as my trump card when the boss tells me I'm to old for all this.
Credit to you all and shows what the goodwill of the forum can achieve.
Agreed on everyone's comments above, again to the helpers hats off to you all in getting our old mate out of trouble!
I'm adding this journey to the next NP mag, front cover ;)
So it looks like we have another pizza night on our hands coming up!!!!!
Any interstaters thinking of coming down we can accommodate so let us know if this interests you and we'll sort you out.
Looks like May sometime awaiting firm dates from the great man in the hat.
Have to say it was an absolute pleasure and mostly fun ( apart from that Frick'n right side engine mount Arrrrgh!!) experience and so glad everything went so smoothly. I think it made markie & me pretty happy seeing it cruise up the road and back into the driveway at home under is own steam purring away like a zd30 kitten. Special thanks to everyone involved especially jono for getting the ball rolling and keeping the motivation with this. Also should mention Omar from go2engines who looked after us really well and gave us heaps of good advise, really awsome service all round and was an absolute pleasure to deal with.
Took a vid of the startup but i think it stopped itself and now is gone. grrr
Here's hoping that this motor will give years of happy motoring and adventure, you guys certainly deserve it. ☺. . .
Good onya Rossco, looking forward to meeting you soon
More like the bloke on the left?

Cracking effort and well done to all concerned.
So waiting for the video of this taking its first breath Mark !
Well done again to the boys.
I roam around a few forums of a few different interests. And have never seen an undertaking and generosity of this scale anywhere else.
Pretty proud to wear the forum sticker on the car personally.
