Did keep padlock on fridge while he was there?
Just when you thought this thread had died!!! Rear custom made spacer bar with twin light mounts goes on today - got a couple of LED camping lights from a mate that are going on the mounts so should throw heaps of light. An interior LED worklight going in the rear also. Will throw up some pics later tonight to show the output.
Not sure if we're getting away this weekend, so if not, going to have a lash at the rear drawers and start that project - fingers firmly crossed ... not sure I saw 'sticky tape' as one of the required tools to use, but no doubt my effort will be very 'Macgyver' style!!!! LOL ... how much Mr Magoo Glue and how many paddle pop sticks you reckon it'll take!! LMFAO
How much Mr Magoo glue and paddle pop sticks will it take ???
As in how much glue and sticks will it hold ???
OR
How much glue and paddle pop sticks will it take to make ???
Just gotta clarify there
To make it!! LOL
Where are the photos of the light bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here they be!!!

With the lights off down the side yard ... (not the best test as the lights are angled outwards to spread the light either side, but even so, that shed is a good 30-35 metres away!!)

and with the lights on ...

Not sure how many of you have them, but I bought a few of those little LED panels for the interior lights (about 1.5" square) - the ones that have the various adaptors to attach to a variety of connectors (bayoney, festoon, etc) and then the panel sits off the end of the connector cable - AMAZING amount of light output in the car .. simply awesome for the map lights/centre lights etc ...
That light bar is a nice bit of work, I've never seen anything like it.
What lumen output are those reversing lights rated at?
No idea - "bloody bright" would be my professional opinion though!!! LOL
Gets the tyre right away from the barn door also, so the 305/70's will have no drama going on!!!
Did you see my number plate recommendation.......PI$$ TANK. LOL
Interesting bar Scotty, nice lights, good spread by the looks.
If they are the light I am thinking of then they are a damn good light, will last forever
I've been looking at these lights on Ebay, 1180 lumens is about the lowest and they range up to about 1800 lumens.
This afternoon I picked up a pair of 900 lumen lights (from Ashdown Ingrams) to go on a machine in Lismore. I hooked up one of the lights in the back yard an hour ago just to see how much light they put out, a LOT of light! I think I'll be getting a few more for outdoor lights at home.
What price do you sell these lights for Fletch?
Tony
The lights that are 1180 lumens to 1800 are they LED? how many LED's in the unit and whats the size?
Had a look at some of your photos Scott. And all of you guys really inspire me!
I am convinced now (as if I needed convincing) that I shouldnt part from my MK, and that there is heaps I could do to keep her going for a little while longer and make her look a little better again.
Or....I should actually say.....there are lots of things others could do to make her a shining star again.
I probably need all your advice on this forum with ideas where to go with what. I've got two left hands and no one nearly interested enough to help me out (and little money of course ;, otherwise there would be a newer car!!.......hmmmm, or maybe not?)
After my new hub with the help of Tim, (and de-moulding, haha, and then a good service to fix something exhaust related I believe) it is probably time to do a little anti rust work (if still possible) and then possibly a little lift.....
Oh, I can feel a new life project emerging....
:)
Oooohhhhhhh, many ideas and wishes now! Maybe the forum is not so good after all ;)
1020 Lumens output ... essentially (in my guessing) they are spreading about 25-30 metres at the widest point, and lighting up backwards around 40-50 metres pretty clearly ...
These are the LED panels I was mentioning ...

WOW you should get plates saying PRISCILLA its like mardi gras in the wagon
That's a fair whack of light Scott lol..
Those interior lights look awesome mate
Great idea - kick one off Henriette, and we'll all start throwing our two cents worth in!!! With all the assistance and advice, you might find you get a lot more miles out of the rig than you think!!!
By the way, chatting with Henriette today, she has done some awesome travelling in a very stock Nissan Patrol, so she may not have many mods yet, but she certainly has plenty of experience (and stories no doubt) of touring this great land of ours.
All you need now is 10 inch HID driving lights
