wow man, not guts no glory? Whats the plan from here?
Well after I finish the chop And weld the back wall in, I plan o knock out all the dents, give it a full respray, make up some custom bar work, get the engine tuned up, and put in a new set of seats.
Basically making it look good again
Cheers
How can you do that legally in QLD , Im sure the laws in w.a are ridiculous. Can you upload some pics of your cuts how your going about it interested as.
I have spoken to the engineer, and by only cutting it into a dual cab I am leaving the pillars behind the doors, which means the body retains the rigidity it needs. If I was to chop it into an extra cab it would be a whole lot harder to get engineered. As for the seats I don't know if I will worry about engineering them cause it costs to much and harder to notice.
A bit of hoop jumping is required but the guy I'm using isn't too bad.
Cheers
Did a bit more grinding today.... Really happy with how i envision it to turn out.

Nice rig mate
Thanks

Mate lets see some up close personal pics , how your going to start fabrication sections. Pictures inside the roof under the lining would be good pictures for people as there are not many around.
Sure thing mate, I will grab a few more when I get home
Cheers
Been a while so i thought I would finally grab the pictures I promised.

This is how it will look. It is the original d pillar, fitted up to the c pillar. retaining the original angle of the d pillar. I will fill in the gap with a bit of sheet and I will still retain the air vents for an original look.

Where I cut off the d pillar. I will need to fill it in with some sheet, as well as the tops of the doors.

With the windowsill, I have cut off the strip that holds the windows in via the rubber. As this is also what holds the two panels together, I still have to weld it up and smooth it over.

The gas tank will still sit inside the car, and so the tub space will be quite small. (The tank is sitting there for measurements, I'm not stupid enough to weld/grind with it there!)

Still have to knock out all the dents, finish welding it all up, sand, and paint. At the moment electric blue is the colour at the top of my list.
