I've been thinking about the color and type of paint i will get on the car. so i have been sitting here on the computer this evening and the result is quite untraditional lads!! i am gonna paint the entire body with!.... wait for it!.... bedliner :) now that is the weirdest and the coolest i have seen on a offroader, and! i dont need to polish and be careful with the datsun :P just get in and drive without being worried for road salt and winter and other hostile enviroment :)
thinking of the beige/brown afghan hummers color on the patrol. is that cool?

Here we would call it Chook shite, a speckle style finish inside a ute tub.
There are a few DIY spray on tub liners, Rhino springs to mind.
You need a colour that will allow your running gear [orange] to POP lol
There was a tar based product that you spray on via a "HOT GUN" not
sure of that name either, but was black and a great salt deterrant. I'll have a look for you.

I have second thought about orange axles, cause these will give me limitations regarding the color on the body... First i was planning to do a black car with the orange axles but then that got me started thinking og KTM. I dont want a KTM colored car [emoji14] so if i paint the car with army beige i think i'll change the color of the axles as well.Quote:

I don't know where in Norway you live - but I live in Oslo. I drove my 260 Patrol to Trondheim and spoke with a rather "famous" guy called Bruno Jørgensen. He's got complete TD42 kits ready for sale. He even lets his guys do the job in his workshop. I recommend you to contact him if you want a certified TD42-engine. The only thing that stops me from doing that is of course the difficulty of placing a TD42 in a 260 body/frame.
