yes unfortunately airfrieght to or from perth goes via road, dont know why but thats what happens, had heaps of stuff overnight airbag freight at incredible prices and takes 3 or 4 days to arrive.

When I was asking about getting a Patrol from Perth to Melb
they told me it would be 9 to 15 days, must of been clock wise lol
I just received some gear from China in 4 days ,,,Thought that was pretty good
but still waiting on other gear to arrive from early Nov.
Too much parcel traffic this time of year so I tend to not buy till after the new year
Just went down the street and an Asian bloke had his van parked on the side of the road at this tourist lookout spot but he's handbrake failed and he rolled back into a tree that's 1m down the embankment and another 200m drop after that.
Tried to help the bloke out and was going to winch him up but the car was just resting on the tree with a wheel high up in the air.
Really needed a second car to brace the car from rolling as someone else winched and road traffic management on a day like today as you would need to winch from the Middle of the road.
I told him he needs to call police and organise help but he refused to and was calling his friend to come help. I strongly said do not try and pull yourself out and he said no no just get friend to look first.
This might be the third car this year to roll down that hill by the looks of it!
Felt bad not being able to help but I would guarantee roll his car with only one winch.
Amazing from the million cars no one bothered to stop either.
I was driving up the road today heading for Berry and I passed a small bus (20 seater approx) with a flat tyre and an old bloke trying to change it. So I did the right thing and stopped to give him a hand. He said he'd rung a tyre mob and they were coming, so we got talking. Turns out he owns a 99 2.8 Patrol that he'd put a 4.2 in, kept the 2.8 intercooler and did a few other mods, even got the tacho working by himself. Anyway I left him there to wait for the tyre truck and continued on. About an hour later I was coming home again and the tyre truck was there swapping it for him. Gave him a toot and a wave on the way past.
Doesn'thurt to stop and see if people need a hand.
I saw a bloke today who had been towing a boat. The trailer had come off the car and overtaken him. The boat had come off the trailer and overtaken the trailer. He had tow trucks there already so I didn't stop but man... His weekend was ruined!
I've being doing the ring road run for longer than i care to remember and yes mudski its heaps better. It got to a point that to get to reservoir from the west I would take the calder then bell street and pass the drive inns to get to the area of Edwards lake, both ways.
Not anymore, both ways going home in the morning I still manage between 90-100 km/h and have a breeze run in leaving home about 6 pm watching all the city bound traffic slowly moving.
