You need to make sure you lube them up when installing otherwise they grip and do what you have pictured. Most likely not the seals fault and even a genuine item will do the same if not lubricated when fittedQuote:

Going by the looks of it, they were either installed back to front or the ball section is too badly pitted and just grabbed the seal and pulled them out. Which I think the latter is correct. They look pretty dry and dirty. When changing those seals its a good idea to rub the ball section down with emery paper to make them smooth and then just coat them with a fine smear of grease.
