what can I say just like a bought one , well done, and it will keep its shape now ??
I'll get some sizes up to you soon . All I know is that steel is 450 mm long
I brought 26 dyed roo skins for $30, my mate made a doona out of most of them
but I think I have about 5-6 pieces left

That's an awesome score on the roo leather TD.

The sheath should hold it's shape but next time I will use a thicker backing piece and make the front piece a smidge bigger to allow better shaping.

Cheers Stropp, forgot I ordered more leather as it just got delivered.

4 nice, thick roo leather around 4-5mm thick, great for back plates in pouches and fixed blade knives.

Will have to order more at this rate lolol

thick enough for dog breast plates etc, You may not need a heavier duty machine just change the throat plate, feed dogs and needle.
Tension wise most females will wind it up as tight as it will go but you should be able to drag cotton through the needle with little effort.
as for the bobbin the bobbin weight should be enough so if you hold the tag end it will fall free under its own weight. When you look at a normal home machine lock stitch the bit you see is the bobbin thread , use two different colours and you'll see what I mean.
4-5mm is nice and thick, my roo pelts are fashion quality

you can get leather rolls for chisels that might be suitable

I've seen them but they are made for chisels which are way shorter.
My Steel is 450 mm a chisel is what 250mm there is my problem.
I'll sort out my leather and post it over to OD to see what he can come up with

get @ab to make one for you out of vinyl while hes making all out rooftop bags.

Bummer nothing arrived this arvo either, getting nervous now.
At least they have a tracking number
